Allenheads starts the season |

Allenheads open its door for the first day of the season today. The ski area is expected to open from 11am so if you are in the area this is the perfect chance to burn off some of those Christmas calories. Reports indicate they have about 3-4 inches of fresh snow which due to the lack of rocks is ample coverage for Allenheads. Road Conditions at this moment are unknown so if you are planning on going along, drive carefully and enjoy the day.
Allenheads is also joined today with Yad joss and the Lecht for snow sports although the best sport looks to be in England as the Scottish mountains have only seen a light dusting of fresh new snow.
