We have know about the existence of the Yad joss webcam for quite some time now but it is only recently that we have learned about its location on the Internet. The camera is currently configured to take an image at around 8a.m daily but due to the hard work of Tim Taylor a local business man the camera can also be controlled remotely by mobile phone allowing members of the Carlisle ski club to decide if its worth opening the tow before making the long trip up the hill to see if there is enough snow. {josimage}
The images are then displayed on the site using a combination of MySQL, and ASP to provide a viewable website for all. The site also includes info about the current temperature at Yad joss including graphs as well as a few archive images.To see the site please visit http://csc.tayloredtechnology.com/ski/current.asp {joscomment} |
