Updated 05 Feb 2006 -> The upgrade to the Heriot Watt Automatic Weather station is now being tested - with temperature, windspeed, and wind direction data avialable online.

The Heriot Watt AWS website has now been updated, with temperature and wind data updated twice daily.  The data is downloaded via a GSM modem, but the current temporary antenna position is somewhat marginal, and sometimes fails to connect - missing data is downloaded during the next sucessfull connection.  Currently WAP and RSS data are not availableThere are still rumours that a webcam may still be placed onto the AWS but this will not be any time soon, possibly sometime summer 2006.

See HW-AWS Graphics page for detail.
