Around 11o?clock this morning the central belt of Scotland was affected but a sudden but heavy snowfall. Traffic on the M8 heading towards Glasgow and Edinburgh around the Harthill area was reduced to aljost one lane as blizzard conditions appeared aljost out of now where. Snow fall like this are not uncommon in Scotland around this time of year but are not usually seen at low levels. {joscomment}
